Timeshare Prospects Profile

What does today’s first-time buyer look like? An AIF consumer survey conducted in early 2011 intended to answer the question by profiling the typical consumers who do not currently own an interest in any vacation ownership product.

The results show that timeshare prospects tend to be Caucasian males with higher income. Nearly 80% are married, with more than one-third having children who currently reside at home. Three-quarters of the prospect universe are employed, with the bulk of the remainder reporting being retired. Nearly 70% are college graduates, and approximately 90% own their home.
